The Australian town I thought was going to be the most overrated, was in actual fact, NOT overrated at all 🫶🏼 In the movies, Byron Bay is portrayed as a hippie town that is out of touch with reality and everyone is too chilled out and strangely pleasant to one another… and that is entirely TRUE, but in the BEST way 🥹 I’m talking a guitarist singing on the beach every single sunset in front of a crowd having their dinners on a picnic blanket with their phones nowhere to be seen. Organic health stores and Pilates studios being way more popular than fast food chains and nightclubs. Byron really did feel like the definition of ‘slow travelling’ and I think it would be the most perfect place to spend a summer living & working.
