:Yosemite is pretty in all seasons, of course. But it’s the prettiest in spring & early summers when the waterfalls are gushing down the valley in full force. While I’d love to experience Yosemite in every season, this was actually my very first trip to Yosemite—and in fact, my first trip to any National Park in the USA. And I can’t help but wonder, what took me so long? I did a lot of research so you don’t have to! Here are some of the best viewpoints easily accessible by car and places to visit in Yosemite: 1. Tunnel View This iconic spot gives you a breathtaking view of Yosemite Valley, with El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridalveil Fall all in one frame. It’s a must-see, especially at sunrise or sunset. 2. Glacier Point For a panoramic view of Yosemite’s high country, Glacier Point offers incredible views of Half Dome, the valley, and waterfalls, and it’s easily accessible by car 3. El Capitan Meadow If you want to get up close and personal with the towering granite face of El Capitan, this is the place to be. 4. Valley View Located along Northside Drive, this beautiful spot offers a peaceful view of the Merced River with El Capitan and Bridalveil Fall in the background. 5. Bridalveil Fall This waterfall is one of the first major attractions you’ll encounter when entering the valley. A short trail takes you closer to this beautiful waterfall, especially impressive in spring and early summer. 6. Yosemite Falls: Multiple viewpoints along the trails offer different perspectives of North America’s tallest waterfall. 7. Sentinel Bridge: A popular spot for capturing iconic views of Half Dome reflected in the Merced River.
