This was not how it was supposed to go…. ⤵️ but let’s just say that it was even better! We had this whole plan to rent a motorbike or car and head from Phu My to Vũng Tàu — take a boat, see the mangroves, monkeys, even crocodiles. But reality hit: there was nothing to rent in Phu My, and the taxi to Vũng Tàu (despite being closer) cost the same as going to Ho Chi Minh. After 2 hours of searching, a kind local helped us out and we ended up with a private driver to Ho Chi Minh instead — $55 for 6 hours round trip. We visited the War Remnants Museum (deeply moving and a must-see), wandered through history at the Independence Palace, and grabbed food before heading back. Travel isn’t always smooth — but sometimes the backup plan turns out just right. Not what we imagined, but that’s travel sometimes — and honestly, it turned out to be a pretty great day. #hochiminhcity🇻🇳 #vietnamwar #hochiminhtravel #saigoncity #saigontrip #vietnamtravel #vietnamtravelguide #warremnantsmuseum #uktravelblogger #uktraveller #romaniantravelblogger #romaniantraveler #igeditschallenge War Remnants Museum Ho Chi Minh | Vietnam War history museum | Things to do in Ho Chi Minh City | What to see in Ho Chi Minh in one day | Day trip to Ho Chi Minh from Phu My port | Visiting the Reunification Palace | Historical sites in Ho Chi Minh | Vietnam War educational museum | Ho Chi Minh City travel guide | Must-see places in Ho Chi Minh City | Vietnam cruise port excursions | Ho Chi Minh day tour from cruise ship | What to visit in Ho Chi Minh for first-timers
