No reservation required😎 Armstrong Redwoods is just outside dowtown Guerneville, a charming small town about 1.5 hours from SF. It has younger and smaller trees than the old-growth giants further north, but it’s still a peaceful and beautiful place to visit. Plus, it’s technically free. If you bike/hike in, you don’t have to pay an entrance fee. Otherwise it’s $10 per car to drive through or park in the lot.
