That’s because it supposedly looks a bit like the famous bridge of the same name in Venice. The bridge connects two parts of Hertford College. 2️⃣ Bodleian Library - one of the oldest libraries in Europe and one of the most prestigious libraries in the world. It serves as the main research library of the University of Oxford and holds a vast collection of books, manuscripts, and other materials. 3️⃣The Divinity School is one of the world’s oldest buildings specifically designed for university lectures that still exists today. It was primarily designed as a venue for theological education and has played a significant role in the development of religious scholarship. 4️⃣Oxford Castle & Prison- it’s a medieval Norman castle abut also a place where they imprison debtors who owed money. Now this site has been transformed into a historical site, hotel and entertainment complex in one. For a small fee you can climb the mound outside the Oxford Castle to get a good view of the city and in particular the spires of the university buildings. 5️⃣Oxford Canal- picturesque waterway located in central England. Spanning approximately 78 miles, it connects the cities of Oxford and Coventry, offering scenic views of the countryside along its route.
