Today 3 years ago I booked my one way ticket to South Korea. On one hand it feels much muuuuuch longer, on the other hand it feels like it was yesterday 🙈 I think it’s been a long time since I last shared how I ended up moving to Korea and our community grew a lot since then, so here you go: For many years my only focus in life was my career. I studied business and worked my ass off to get my dream position in the Headquarter’s of a German Fortune’s 50 Company. I loved my job, I had an amazing team and the little free time I had was used to travel through Europe or to spend time with my family, friends or then boyfriend. ☺️ I was so so happy, but there was this thought that never left my mind: I always wanted to move abroad for some time before I turn 30. ✈️ So one evening I talked to my best friend about how I feel like I HAVE to do this even though I am so happy at the moment. And I’m not sure if she even knows, but with her simple reply she kinda changed my life.. “Why not?” 🤷🏼‍♀️ Yeah why actually not.. So I started doing research about different countries and visa types, I worked even harder to save more money and once I had a rough plan, I talked to my boss and family. 🙈 My boss hated to let me go.. my best friends were sad I will be so far away.. my family was worried of course.. I know they felt that way, but never really showed me and ALL of them supported my decision unconditionally.. until today. 🥹 This is what I’m most grateful for and I’m sure without their support and love I wouldn’t be where I am today. ❤️ Should I explain next why I chose Korea?
