Aitutaki is a stunning blue lagoon destination nestled in the Cook Islands and it might be some of the most beautiful water I’ve ever seen. The lagoon is actually absurdly blue and has the most perfect shade of turquoise. Plus, our experience was that the Cook Islands were far less expensive than Bora Bora. Being a remote, tropical island means nothing comes cheap … but we paid far less for our overwater bungalow, and our food costs were much lower.
