Late June and July in Korea come with a surprise most travelers underestimate: the humidity. The rain isn’t usually the problem. It’s the combination of heat and moisture that can make even a short walk feel exhausting. A few things I’ve learned after 10 years in Korea: ☔ Don’t panic if rain is in the forecast. Jangma often brings heavy afternoon showers rather than all-day rain. 🏛️ Plan museums, galleries, and cafés for the hottest part of the day. 🥾 If you’re hiking places like Bukhansan or Namsan, start early. Really early. 👟 Quick-dry shoes are far more important than a fancy umbrella. And here’s the part nobody talks about enough: Korea becomes incredibly green during monsoon season. Mountains, temples, and parks feel completely different, and many popular places are surprisingly quiet. If you’re visiting Korea this summer, don’t let jangma scare you away. Just plan around it. Save this for your Korea trip and send it to someone visiting in July. #KoreaTravel #VisitKorea #SeoulTravel #KoreaTips #sᴏᴜᴛʜᴋᴏʀᴇᴀ
