We can’t believe one of our favorite meals in Japan… was the one we made ourselves! 👩‍🍳🇯🇵 Taking a cooking class has become one of our favorite ways to experience a new country—and this one in Osaka, booked via @getyourguide was such a highlight. 📍Here’s what we made: • Okonomiyaki – Osaka’s famous savory pancake made with batter, cabbage, toppings, and whatever you like! (That’s literally what “okonomiyaki” means.) • Takoyaki – crispy golden octopus balls you’ll see everywhere in Japan. Fun fact: this dish actually started as a cozy home-cooked family meal, especially for gatherings! 🥢 The whole experience with @experience_jp_culture was beginner-friendly: ✔️ 30-min intro & prep ✔️ 1.5 hours of hands-on cooking with expert local chefs ✔️ 1-hour tasting session with drinks (sake, beer, or soft drinks) ✔️ All ingredients & tools provided ✔️ Plus—they give you the recipes to take home! We had the best time flipping Takoyaki (harder than it looks!) and tasting our creations with new friends.
