Things that made me postpone my dream to live abroad until I was 28 and finally decided to quit my job: FAMILY 🏡 Even though they support me unconditionally and especially my mother always told me to focus on myself and my dreams, they’ve been the main reason I always postponed it. I just knew how much it hurts to be far away from them… CAREER 👩🏼💼 Since middle school my career was my top priority and I worked hard to reach my goals. So things like a year abroad that would’ve make things slower, haven’t been an option. MONEY 💴 Especially during university when I could’ve quite easily spend some time abroad, it still wasn’t an option as I simply didn’t have any savings back then. FEAR 😰 Of course I was afraid of so many things. The endless “What if..?”s in my head made me not even consider it seriously and I ended up quitting plans before they even started. LACK OF PLAN 📝 I honestly had no idea where to start, what I would need, what I would have to prepare and never REALLY started doing research. I googled for 5 minutes and when I didn’t find answers, I just stopped.
