Disclaimer: of course not every Korean celebrates like that.. this post is to give a rough idea about what it means here 😉🎄❤️ As Christmas is not a major holiday in South Korea like Seollal (Korean New Year) or Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving), it is not as important as in most western countries. 🎄 But more and more Koreans actually celebrate it.. Christians go to church, couples have fancy dinner and exchange small gifts and friends meet up for 치맥 [Chimaek = chicken & beer] or directly go to a club. 🎅🏼🧑🏼‍🎄 December 25th is a public holiday, but still most restaurants and cafes will be open.
