📍Madrone Cabins in Samuel P. Taylor State Park I just discovered these 5 little cabins located about 30 miles north of SF and was the easiest “camping” I did all year. The cabins feel clean and new and fully equipped with electricity, lights, a plug-in fireplace and overhead fan. Each cabin has its own picnic table, BBQ, fire pit and water spigot outside. The bathrooms have electricity, running water, flushing toilets and even a mirror. There are also showers on site but we’re closed due to drought. These are great for an easy get away when you want a little nature but don’t want to be fully immersed.
