▼Spot info▼ 📍 Kitanokura Yoshimura Kitayamaro @yoshimura_gr 🥢About I spent the day in the Kitayama area, and found myself in the mood for soba. Yoshimura is originally based in Arashiyama, and I still remember how good their soba was when I visited their main location—so I decided to stop by their Kitayama branch this time. The spacious dining room felt calm and serene, as the lunchtime rush had already passed. It was the perfect setting for a quiet, slow soba lunch. Their soba is made with carefully selected buckwheat from various regions across Japan, and the quality truly shows. I went with my usual favorite—duck soba—and it did not disappoint. __________ 🗺️Address 107 Kamigamo-Iwagakakiuchi-cho, Kita-ku, Kyoto 603-8053, Japan ✔︎Located just three buildings north of the Kitayama intersection, on the west side of Shimogamo Nakadori Street. __________ 🚃Access ⚪︎By train 1-minute walk from Exit 2 of Kitayama Station (Kyoto Subway). ⚪︎By bus 1-minute walk from Maehagi bus stop (Kyoto Bus & City Bus). __________ 🕙Opening hours ⚪︎Lunch 11:00–16:00 (Last order) Note: From 14:30, a limited à la carte soba menu is available. ⚪︎Sweets Café (sonoqa – buckwheat-based desserts) 14:30–16:00 ⚪︎Dinner (Soba Izakaya style) 17:00–21:00 (Last order) Closes at 21:30 ⚪︎Open daily (Closed on New Year’s Day) On New Year’s Eve: Lunch 11:00–15:30 / Dinner 16:30–21:00 📝Please note: Special menus are offered during cherry blossom season, Golden Week, Obon, the autumn foliage season, and New Year holidays.
