Departing from Torokko Saga Station, adjacent to JR Saga-Arashiyama Station, the train also stops at Torokko Arashiyama Station, one kilometer west. The vintage trains, complete with wooden benches, are particularly popular during the autumn foliage season, from mid-November to early December, when the ravine transforms into vibrant colors. Note that the trains do not operate in winter, from late December through February.

Tickets for the Sagano Scenic Railway can be purchased at Torokko Saga Station or online, with advance booking recommended, especially during peak seasons. The bridge is also part of a local children's initiation, where they must cross without looking back to avoid bad luck.
