The Cabazon Dinosaurs are most famous for 'Mr. Rex,' a massive, 150-ton Tyrannosaurus Rex that stands 65 feet tall and 150 feet long.
Walk-Through Dinosaur
Another iconic dinosaur is 'Dinny,' a 150-foot-long Brontosaurus (formerly Apatosaurus) that visitors can walk inside of and climb to a gift shop located in its belly.
Original Construction
The first two dinosaurs, Dinny and Mr. Rex, were originally built in the 1960s by Claude K. Bell, a local artist and theme park sculptor, to attract customers to his restaurant, Claude Bell's Dinny's Coffee Shop.

The Cabazon Dinosaurs gained significant international fame after being prominently featured in the 1985 Tim Burton film 'Pee-wee's Big Adventure'.
