Construction Start
Antoni Gaudí began construction of Palau Güell in 1885 for the wealthy industrialist Eusebi Güell, marking the start of their long and fruitful collaboration.
Small Lot
Despite its grandeur, Palau Güell was built on a relatively small lot of 500 square meters, surrounded by adjoining walls and connected to Güell's family home.
Gaudí's Signature
The Palau Güell showcases early examples of Gaudí's signature style, including intricate ironwork at the entrance and on the back of the building, as well as unique chimneys and ventilation openings on the roof.
