Rescue Center
At the base of the falls, visitors will find the Free the Bears sanctuary, which cares for rescued Asiatic black bears (also known as moon bears) that have been saved from illegal wildlife trade.
Local Name
The waterfall is locally known as 'Tat Kuang Si,' with 'Tat' meaning waterfall in Lao, and 'Kuang Si' referring to a deer that is said to have lived in the area.
