Lake O'Hara

The lake and surrounding alpine trails offer spectacular views of crystal-clear waters, snow-capped glaciers, and a chain of beautiful lakes.

Due to limited access, the area remains peaceful and less crowded compared to other popular lakes, allowing visitors to truly enjoy nature.

Beyond the main lake, there are numerous trails leading to other lakes and viewpoints, such as the Alpine Circuit, Opabin Plateau, and Prospect trails.

Visitors have chances to encounter wild animals like black bears and grizzly bears (requiring bear spray) and various birds, enhancing the wilderness experience.

Despite the rugged terrain, the trails around the lake and the service road are generally well-maintained, contributing to a better hiking experience.
