Original Lighthouse
The first Point Atkinson Lighthouse, a vital navigational aid for ships entering Burrard Inlet, was initially lit in 1875.
Current Structure
The iconic white concrete lighthouse tower that stands today at Point Atkinson was constructed and began operation in 1912, replacing the earlier wooden structure.
