The best campground neigh-bors 🐴 of all time 🥹 Camping on Maryland’s Assateague Island was truly a bucket list experience for me. Ever since I read Misty of Chincoteague as a kid, I’ve wanted to visit and see the wild horses for myself. We arrived after dark, and when I woke up the next morning and looked out my window… there they were! We visited during November, which is off season, and the island was relatively empty except for us and the herd.
