All you need to know about visiting the Irwin Zoo 🐨🇦🇺⬇️ 🇦🇺 Australia Zoo, known famously for being owned by the late Steve Irwin and still run by his family, is a must-do when visiting the Sunshine Coast. 📍Brisbane, Australia. 1638 Steve Irwin Way, Beerwah QLD 4519, Australia 🚂 Take the train from Brisbane to Beerwah, then a short taxi or bus ride to the zoo. The journey takes about 1.5-2 hours in total. 💰 Tickets start at $59 for adults and $39 for kids and can be purchased either in advance or on the day. 🦘 My favourite part of the day was visiting the open kangaroo enclosure. ‘Roo food’ can be purchased for a few dollars from the gift shop and gives you a chance to feed the kangaroo’s by hand. 🐊 The famous crocodile show takes place every day at specific times. Get there at least 10 minutes early to ensure a good seat (preferably in the shade as Aussie UV is no joke 🥲) 🏥 Included is entry to the Wildlife Hospital - a leading wildlife care facility on site that is dedicated to treating and rehabilitating sick, injured, and orphaned animals.
