Along with Bomunsa Temple in Ganghwado Island and Hongnyeonam Hermitage in Naksansa Temple, Boriam Hermitage is known as one of the most prestigious prayer spots in Korea. 

Near Boriam Hermitage, there is also a shrine dedicated to Dangun Wanggeom, who founded Korea's first state. 

You will have a chance to understand Korean traditional ideas and history.

It is a temple that many Buddhists visit because they say they can fulfill their wishes by praying to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. 

You can also enjoy the wonderful scenery of Korea's south coast at Boriam Hermitage. From Boriam Hermitage, you can enjoy the spectacular view of the large and small islands of Hallyeohaesang Park in the sea.
