PSA: Less than two weeks left to see this historic exhibition @deyoungmuseum “Monet and Venice.” It’s the first time Monet’s famous Water Lilies paintings have been displayed on the West Coast AND the first time in over 100 years that these dreamy cityscapes of Venice have been displayed together. Learning more about the context of where Monet was at in his career when painting these was incredibly moving and inspiring. He felt he was too old and at the end of his career but his time in Venice ultimately lead to his most famous Water Lilies series. 🪷 Proof that you’re never too old or ever done with “being” an artist. 👋 Hi, I’m Erin and I love highlighting fun things and must-visit spots in the Bay Area + a bit of my art too.
