I used the @k.ride_official app this week to test it out and see how it works. If you’re a tourist coming to Korea and don’t have a local number or local card and want something in multiple languages, this is a great option. Easy to use after set up and you can use your card from home and find where you want to go in multiple languages (don’t mind me I made this video when I searched in Korean but it works in English too.) When we got into the taxi, I asked the driver about it because it seems new and he said he didn’t know the name of the app I was using 😂 because for him it just came up as a normal Kakao taxi request, all auto translated. This is a good thing as it’s seamless for drivers, easy for foreign customers, so everyone is happy! FYI: I did notice that there are some additional service fees with this app so you pay a bit more than if you’re using the localized apps but I would guess that is for the translation assistance and ability to use foreign cards and bank accounts. Have more questions about transportation in Korea? Comment below and follow @thesoulofseoulblog for more info than you probably need but good info all the same. #kride #taxiinkorea #koreantaxi
