Cicadas -> That summer ASMR you didn’t ask for Deafening during the hottest of days, if you happen to be near them, you’ll know it. Their rattle can exceed 75 decibels! A little fun fact, during the Joseon dynasty the cicadas life cycle and wing shape represented integrity and nobility which is why you could often find cicada-shaped paperweights on the desks of scholars. You can still find these beautiful paperweights in antique markets here in Korea. I just found one in Insadong a few weeks ago. Cicadas… love them or hate them?
