🌏 The Ultimate Digital Nomad Guide to SE Asia 🌴 Here are a few tips I have learnt while traveling through SE Asia as a digital nomad. 📶 WiFi 🌐 1️⃣ Researching Accommodations: Look for places with excellent WiFi reviews to ensure uninterrupted work hours. We travel in Airbnbs to have more flexibility and we always check the Wifi and if needed we ask the host to send us a screenshot of a speed test. 2️⃣ Portable WiFi Devices: Consider investing in portable WiFi devices or SIM cards with data packages for on-the-go internet. This is especially important in the Philippines because you will struggle with connection there. We use @netgear 📱 Sim Cards & Connectivity 📲 1️⃣ Local SIM Cards: Grab local SIM cards upon arrival to enjoy affordable data plans and easy communication. You can find them directly at the airport. 2️⃣ E-sims: This is very common especially nowadays, the app I usually use is @airalocom . However, it can be very expensive. Just grab a local simcard at the airport. 💁🏼‍♀️ Additional tip → in the Philippines it’s common to remain without power for hours, make sure you always keep your devices charged just in case this happens. 💼 Plus, Essential Nomad Tips 🌟 1️⃣ Travel Light: Pack lightweight, travel-friendly gadgets to support your nomadic lifestyle. Trust me, less is better. (A reel with our travel essentials is coming soon) 3️⃣ Rest: It is easy to forget that this is our lifestyle and we never get a second to rest. It’s always been hard for me to take a day off (working and exploring) because I always had FOMO. I was scared that I didn’t see enough and did enough. However, you need to rest.
