Kowloon Walled City Park, a Jiangnan-style garden that was once a maritime defence station in the 15th century, before it became a notorious semi-lawless space and breeding ground for all kinds of criminal activities. The Kowloon walled city once extremely densely populated area and was eventually torn down in 1994 and reopened as a beautiful garden in 1995, boasting impressive water features, traditional gardens, and historical remnants of its storied past.
