Have you ever visited Guatemala before? As someone who gets far sick very easily I was NOT prepared for the drive between Antigua Guatemala and Lake Atitlán! Here are my tips for surviving the drive: 1. Everyone take Dramamine. At least one. I took two and was barely ok. 2. If you can afford it take a private car instead of a bus or van! We took a van full of 16 people there and it was a nightmare with how many people were getting sick. Our private car on the way back was much better. 3. Bring a plastic bag just in case. The drive is worth it. I promise you it is just something to be aware of if you were traveling to Guatemala and planning to drive between Antigua and Lake Atitlán.
