Captured a most beautiful view of the iconic Mathematical Bridge in Cambridge, England 🤎 Built in 1749, this remarkable wooden footbridge crosses the River Cam at Queen’s College. Interestingly, it was first constructed without the use of nails or bolts ~ relying only on ingenious engineering. Today’s version, rebuilt in 1905, still follows the original design, but with metal fastenings for durability. I couldn’t think of a lovelier way to welcome the start of the ‘ber’ months to my feed than with this captivating view… Have you ever spotted the Mathematical Bridge in Cambridge? 📍 Cambridge, CB3 9ET, England
