One of the most unique National Parks in the United States… I’ve been to 35 National Parks, and Mesa Verde is certainly one of the most unique I’ve seen so far! Located in Southwestern Colorado, Mesa Verde was once home to the Ancestral Pueblo people, who built their homes on the mesas and cliffs. There are 5,000 sites in the park, including 600 cliff dwellings. Many of these are incredibly well preserved, despite some of them being almost 700 years old! Make sure to book tour tickets in advance! Lots of dwellings are ticketed tours only, and it’s definitely worth taking the time to learn more about the history of Mesa Verde. #findyourpark #nationalparks #nationalparkgeek
