This is why getting off the beaten tourist path is so important. this was an experience, unlike any other we had while traveling in Japan we ventured off of the detour streets by about half a mile and came across the steakhouse. When we went inside, it looked like someone’s front room where they had put two Teppanyaki tables in. Chef Shigeru has been a chef here since the 1970s. and through Google Translate told us about his time working at this restaurant. We were the only ones in here our entire dinner. at the end, he asked if he could give us some of his homemade crafts and we, of course said yes. he was so proud of the things he created, and it was the most precious things we brought back from Japan.
