101 FUN THINGS | part 14 ~ Check out “Into the Brightness” at @oaklandmuseumca which features hundreds of pieces of work from world renowned artists with developmental disabilities. This is the most robust exhibition the museum has had in over a decade bringing together numerous artists from @creativegrowth, @creativityexplored and @niadartcenter ~ three amazing Bay Area organizations who create space, support and community so these artists can find their true expression. I loved this whole exhibition both for the vibrant and inspiring work but also because representation and inclusions are so important. These organizations have created a space for what historically may be considered “outsider” art and has given it a place inside museum and gallery walls allowing it the recognition it deserves. 10/10 would recommend that you GO SEE THIS SHOW!
