Most travellers visit the same two or three autumn spots in Korea, but fall doesn’t work like that. The colours move through the country, and if you follow that rhythm, you get a completely different experience. Start high. Seoraksan and Odaesan turn first, usually late October. You don’t need a full hike — even walking around the base areas shows off the season really well. A bit later, the cities light up. Around early to mid-November, places like Namsan Park, Seoul Forest, Olympic Park, Haneul Park, and the royal palaces reach their best moment. Weekday mornings or early afternoons are perfect if you want space to walk and shoot. Then move south. When Seoul starts losing colour, Busan is still warm and glowing. It’s one of the easiest late-November destinations if you want to stretch your autumn trip. A few quiet tips: mixed tones usually look better in photos than full-red trees; plan an indoor option for rainy days; and remember temples aren’t just attractions — keep your voice low and give people space. Save this guide for later. It’ll make planning way easier.
