When people ask me how I make what I make… I’d say I just go with the flow. Today was my first day painting with pigments with acrylic medium. I know people say you should grind the pigment powder, mix them well with medium, and test the colors before starting to paint with them. But I just started painting with them. I just put power on paper, poured acrylic medium over them, and mixed them with a painting knife and brushes as I go… and it worked beautifully. I love the serendipitous color mix just like the color of nature. In nature, even when you think you are looking at violet flowers, it’s not just violet color. It’s a mix of amber, red, blue, green, ash and many more that gives the liveliness of the flowers. I don’t think there’s a right way to do things. It’s definitely useful to learn about materials and how to use them but also it’s equally important to unlearn and let go of what others say or do. Simply trust your own process. - Natural pigments from @polkefineart - #acrylicpainting #abstractart #abstractpainting #acrylicabstract #acrylicabstractpainting #acrylicabstractart #colorfulpainting #acryliconpaper #abstractonpaper #colorfulabstract #colorfulabstractart #contemporarypainting #contemporaryart #artwall #paintingseries #artstudio #artmaking #artmakingprocess #pasteltones #yellowpainting #paintingart #paintingoftheday #painting #pigment #pigmentmixing #naturalpigments #naturalpigment #pigmentart #pigmentpainting
