Standing at the edge of Peters Pool, I couldn’t believe how still the water was — like glass reflecting Franz Josef Glacier Valley in perfect detail. It’s one of those short walks that feels way more epic than the effort it takes to get there. 📅 Visit early morning or late afternoon for the clearest reflections. The wind tends be calmer either side of the day! 🚶‍♂️ The trail starts from the Franz Josef Glacier car park — it’s only about 20 minutes return on a flat, easy path. 🌦️ Weather can change fast here — carry a light rain jacket even on sunny days.
