📌 Save this for your next Auckland adventure! The Mercer Bay Loop is hands down one of my favourite coastal spots in the Waitākere Ranges. It’s an epic cliff-top trek that gives you some of the most dramatic views in the North Island, looking straight down at the rugged Tasman Sea. 🚗 The track is super accessible from the end of Te Ahu Ahu Road in Piha—it’s a relatively short loop, but the scenery makes it feel like a world-class escape just an hour from the city. 📚 Hike along the highest sea cliffs in Auckland, reaching about 170m above the ocean. Make sure to stop at the lookout points to see the site of the ancient Te Ahua Pā. 🐾 It’s also dog friendly! (On-leash only). Adventures like this demand the best fuel.
