I never know how to answer this question… 🌎 is the real world working until you’re 70 and too tired to do anything else? Counting down until Friday every week? Saving all year for one trip and then starting over? Is that the “real world”? 🗺️ Because if that’s it, I don’t want it. The “real world” sounds kinda shitty. For me, this is the real world, not because it’s glamorous 24/7, but because I chose it. I know how incredibly privileged I am to even have the option to create this life for myself, but I’m also really proud that I was actually brave enough to go for it instead of just talking about it. The real world, for me, isn’t a 9-5 I don’t care about. It’s not living for the weekend. It’s not building a life I constantly need to escape from. 🛫 My real world is waking up in a place I love, doing things that make me feel excited about my life, and actually having time to enjoy it. Even when it’s stressful or uncertain, it still feels like mine.
