Oxford really does have a doorway that looks like it belongs in Narnia. Hidden in St Mary’s Passage, this little doorway has a lion, two fauns and even a Narnia-style lamp post nearby. It’s often said to have inspired C.S. Lewis’ Narnia, but he never confirmed it which somehow makes it even more magical, especially knowing he was teaching at Oxford while writing the Narnia books.
