One of my favorite temples in Seoul. Tucked away in the heart of Seoul’s buzzing Gangnam-gu district, you’ll find the tranquil Bongeunsa Temple. Founded way back in 794, it’s been touched by time, fires, and wars, but stands resilient. Nestled near the uber-modern COEX Mall, this serene spot boasts an impressive 23-meter high Maitreya Buddha statue.
