storyofsavannah — Sydney Fish Market

All you need to know ↓🐟 🎣 The new Sydney Fish Market is absolutely stunning - a huge waterfront building with over 40 seafood, retail and dining outlets, plus space to buy fresh seafood to take home and cook yourself. 📍 Bank St & Bridge Rd, Pyrmont NSW 2009 ⏰ Opening hours: Open daily (most food outlets from morning through to evening - hours vary slightly by vendor) 👀 CrowdsWe went on a weekday at 11:30am thinking it would be quiet… it was not. This place gets BUSY, so expect queues and a bit of chaos, especially at peak times. 🌾 Gluten free optionsAs a coeliac, I found it difficult. Most vendors couldn’t cater due to shared kitchens, but at the Fish Market Café I was able to speak to a chef who cooked my food separately - so definitely advocate for yourself and ask questions. 💰 Prawn skewers, scallops, white fish and a lobster tail to share - $100 for two people 😬 Honest verdictFor the price, the quality just wasn’t there for me. Everything tasted fine (scallops were the best), but we left still feeling hungry. Drinks (bubble tea + lemonade) were also disappointing.
