rcee_xandrahrain — Tai O Promenade

The Shui Lo Cho stream(水澇漕石澗),located just outside the historic Tai O Fishing Village on Lantau Island, is famous for its stunning series of deep rock pools and dramatic cascading waterfalls. Because it is hidden away along the rugged coastline past the village, it feels like an entirely different world compared to Hong Kong’s urban skyline. The combination of the deep, emerald-green mountain water, the lush overhanging jungle canopy, and the lack of city noise makes it a true “hidden emerald paradise” for local hikers and adventurers. ➡️ How to Get to Shui Lo Cho Stream 🚊 From Tung Chung: Take the MTR to Tung Chung Station Exit B. Walk to the bus terminus and take New Lantau Bus 11 all the way to the Tai O. (approx. 50 minutes). 🥾 The Hike to the Stream • From the Tai O bus terminus, walk towards the coastal promenade/pier on your left. • Walk along the flat coastal path heading towards Man Cheung Po past local houses and open shorelines for about 30-40 minutes. • You will soon see stairs and signs going up to Man Cheung Po where you can find the Infinity pool. Skip this just continue walking past the campsite and new pier. • Keep walking until you see the entrance to Shui Lo Cho on your left. Trail ribbons are hanging there. Stay safe and ⚠️ please make the nature clean. Don’t leave your garbages behind. #hiddenparadise #waterfallsofinstagram #chasingwaterfalls #naturereels #discoverhongkong
