Walk across the 38-metre-high aqueduct for incredible views over the Dee Valley. 📍 PISTYLL RHAEADR Wales’ tallest waterfall, standing at around 80 metres high. The drive is worth it for this dramatic waterfall tucked away in the Berwyn Mountains. 📍 BRECON BEACONS Head south into Bannau Brycheiniog for some of Wales’ most beautiful mountain scenery. This is also where you’ll find some of the best waterfall walks in the country. 📍 THREE CLIFFS BAY One of the most spectacular beaches in Wales. Dramatic limestone cliffs, golden sand and a winding river make this one of those places that looks even better in person. 📍 TENBY Spend some time exploring this colourful seaside town. Wander through the old streets, walk along the harbour and enjoy the beach before continuing further into Pembrokeshire. 📍 PEMBROKE CASTLE A huge medieval castle with an incredible history. Climb to the top for panoramic views over the town and surrounding countryside. 📍 CAREW CASTLE One of my favourite castle stops in Pembrokeshire. The ruins sit beside a beautiful tidal millpond, making it just as scenic from the outside as it is interesting to explore. 📍 ST GOVAN’S CHAPEL One of Wales’ most unusual little landmarks. This tiny medieval chapel is built directly into the cliffs overlooking the sea and getting there involves a steep set of steps. 📍 STUMBLE HEAD Head to the very edge of Pembrokeshire for dramatic cliffs, sea views and the iconic lighthouse. 📍 SKOMER ISLAND One of the highlights of the whole trip. Take the boat from Martin’s Haven and spend the day exploring the island, at the right season you can see puffins and seals! 📍 ST DAVIDS CATHEDRAL Finish your road trip in Britain’s smallest city. Visit the cathedral, explore the little streets of St Davids and take a walk along the surrounding coastline.
