It’s very rare to find gypsum sand, and White Sands is home to the largest concentration in the world. It’s incredibly soft under foot, and naturally temperature regulating so it doesn’t get hot like a beach does. The dunes extend for miles, and it’s a beautiful place to catch the sunrise before exploring.
