Welcome to our new series ⤵️ Eating Around the World Without Leaving London. Today’s stop: Japan 🇯🇵 at @yakiya_uk 📍 255 Finchley Rd, London NW3 6LU A small spot near Finchley Road that’s easy to miss, but the food is genuinely worth stopping for. Here’s what we tried: 🍱 Bento Box — fun starter with a bit of everything. Great variety, bites were actually big so its perfect for sharing. 🦆 Teriyaki Duck with Noodles — tender, flavourful, not too heavy. Could’ve used a touch more sauce, but still delicious. 🍜 Ramen — cosy, warm and exactly what you want on a grey London day. 🍡 Mochi & Dorayaki — soft, sweet and the perfect finish. Bonus: the staff is lovely and everything came out super fast. Honest opinion: Comforting, homestyle Japanese food, good portions, good prices. Not the fanciest place, but absolutely one we’d return to.
