: Lago di Braies, also known as Lake Braies or Pragser Wildsee, is one of the most breathtaking alpine lakes in the Dolomites. Its turquoise waters, wooden row boats, and dramatic mountain reflections make it feel straight out of a fairytale. But here’s the truth: timing is everything. We arrived at 8am and had the lake almost to ourselves — peaceful, quiet, and magical. By 9am, it was flooded with people, and the vibe completely changed. During the summer months, road access and parking are restricted between 9:30am and 4pm, so arriving early is key. Travel Tip: Plan ahead of time if you’re coming by car, and arrive before 9am, and take the time to walk the easy 3.5 km loop around the lake for the best views. This Italy bucket list spot is absolutely worth it — as long as you beat the crowds. #lagodibraies #lakebraies #pragserwildsee #dolomites #dolomitesitaly #dolomitesunesco #dolomiteslake
