: I walked into Yummy Future all excited, thinking it was a true robotic café in Palo Alto - the HQ of Silicon Valley, where AI is booming. So naturally, I expected robot baristas that could actually make coffee like a barista: read my order, pull an espresso shot, steam milk… the whole thing. But the robot grabbed a cup from the dispenser, placed it under an instant coffee machine, pressed a button, waited for the coffee to drip, and then placed it on the table. (And it didn’t even put a lid on it 😅) To order, there were real people at the counter not robots. And my regular mocha was $7.30, so it wasn’t cheap either. The interior is spacious and aesthetic, and the whole space has that Silicon Valley energy with people working on their next big startup idea. I just wish the experience felt as futuristic as it promised! Would you go to this cafe? Am I expecting too much or was this fair?
